Increase Your Metabolism & Carbohydrate Metabolism – A Brief Study
May 31, 2008
It has now become established that problems like obesity, cardiovascular problems, diabetes and hypertension are closely associated to one another. This was first proposed by Gerald Reaven in the year 1988 when he presented the Banting lecture. This interlinking was collectively termed as Syndrome X during that time and is now recognized as Metabolic Syndrome.
One causative factor for this syndrome has been identified as insulin resistance. Insulin is a hormone produced by the body to keep the glucose level in the blood in check. Insulin resistance alters the glucose levels as it does not get moved into the cells of the body thereby causing high levels in the blood. Glucose is found in the body due to the breakdown of carbohydrates into smaller sugars.
Carbohydrates form a part of everyone’s diet. Carbohydrates are made of polysaccharides or larger sugars that need to be broken down into smaller sugars or monosaccharides to get absorbed into the body. Polysaccharides, if they are not broken down cannot be taken up by the body.
Carbohydrates are broken down partly during the digestion process. Carbohydrate metabolism encompasses every process that is helpful in the reduction of carbohydrates and also includes the development and exchange of carbohydrates in an organism.
Cells in the body utilize the monosaccharides formed by breakdown of carbohydrates. Around 4 calories are got by the consumption of a gram of carbohydrate. The energy got from the metabolism of carbohydrates is stored in the energy units of the body called adenosine tri phosphate (ATP).
Carbohydrates are important for every living organism as an energy resource as this food is easier to utilize and breakdown when compared to fats or proteins.
Sedentary life styles and excessive carbohydrate intake in people with lower rates of metabolism reduces the rate at which carbohydrates are utilized as energy. Glucose that is not utilized by the body gets converted into fats once the glycogen levels in the body get saturated. If there is excess of carbohydrates in the diet, there is a higher chance of it getting stored up as fat. This results in obesity and is related to the disruption of carbohydrate metabolism in the body.
Excess carbohydrates in the diet have an impact on the organ systems too over a period of time. One such effect is the onset of diabetes mellitus that can be life threatening, if uncontrolled.
Diabetes mellitus has an impact on many other organ systems in the body and can lead to complications like cardiovascular problems, nervous system disorders, eye problems that can result in blindness and many skin disorders. This makes it very vital to regulate the intake of carbohydrates in the diet to keep the carbohydrate metabolism intact and to utilize all the carbohydrates that are consumed in the diet. This keeps the risk of developing disorders of metabolism like cardiovascular problems, diabetes, hypertension and obesity at a minimum.
Along with regulating the diet, everyone should also develop a regular exercise program to improve and maintain a healthy rate of metabolism to preserve good health and to have the energy and vigor to go through their day-to-day activities.

Baby Shower Gifts
May 31, 2008
Welcoming the arrival of a new baby can be one of the most joyous occasions in a family’s life as well as one of the most expensive. A gift that the new mother receives at her baby shower is one less item that she will have to purchase herself.
There are many different products that you can purchase to help the family with their baby needs. Baby bath products are inexpensive items that you can give as a baby shower gift. These products can include baby shampoo, baby lotion, baby powder, and baby soap. When purchasing these items, you should make sure to read the label to ensure that the products are hypoallergenic. You can also include baby towels and wash cloths. These should be made of 100% cotton, as this material is more absorbent and softer on the baby’s sensitive skin.
You may want to include shower gifts that include items to help at the baby’s meal times. These products can include baby dishes, baby utensils, a cereal feeder, and baby bottles (glass is recommended) and nipples. You should make sure to read the label to make sure that these dishes are microwavable as well as dishwasher safe. This will ensure that the new mother will get the most use out of these items.
Clothes are another item that a baby will need plenty of. If the baby is not born yet, you may want to buy a larger size considering some newborns can never wear newborn-size clothes as they are too big at birth. Buying clothes that are labeled for babies up to six months will ensure that they will fit and the baby may get longer use out of the items. You might also want to choose clothes in neutral colors if you do not know the sex of the baby. You should check the label to see what fabrics the items are made out of. Again, 100% cotton is the best as it is softer and also because the baby may have an allergic reaction to some synthetic materials.
Diapers are also a baby shower gift that will be much appreciated. To be on the safe side, you may want to purchase both disposable diapers and the cloth type if you are not sure of the mother’s preference. When purchasing the cloth diapers, some may require safety pins that you may want to include in your gift. Another item that may be needed with cloth diapers are rubber pants to wear over them. You may also include baby powder and baby wipes with your diapers. You should read the label to ensure that the wipes are hypoallergenic and also that they contain aloe, which will help the baby’s bottom stay soft.
Baby toys are also an option for a baby shower gift. Toys that are soft are the best for newborns, although toys that play music and have flashing lights can help develop a baby’s senses. You can check the outside of the toy box to find what is appropriate for babies to help you choose.
Any of these items would be appreciated as a baby shower gift. Again, any gift that the new family receives is something that they do not need to purchase later on themselves.

Cloth Vs. Disposable: Which Are The Best Diapers?
May 31, 2008
When making the decision on whether you wish to use cloth diapers or the disposable version, new mothers may be confused as to which type is the better choice. Getting some of the basic facts may help you to make the decision that is best for you and your baby.
Diaper rash is the greatest concern for most parents in choosing the right diaper. There are many things that can cause diaper rash. Lack of air circulation as well prolonged wetness against the skin can cause skin irritation. This irritation is the result of bacteria forming ammonia that will interact with urine that is left sitting against the skin and can lead to the growth of microbes. This form of diaper rash is found in both cloth and disposable diapers.
Some infants also may develop allergies to certain soaps, dyes, and chemicals that can lead to diaper rash. This form of diaper rash is found mainly in babies that wear disposable diapers. Concerns with the chemicals sodium polyacrylate (absorbent gel) and dioxin (a result of bleaching paper), and the various dyes used in the making of disposable diapers has caused the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and the FDA (Food & Drug Administration) to become involved in various studies being done in connection with disposable diapers. The EPA has linked sodium polyacrylate to toxic shock syndrome while some dyes and dioxins can lead to central nervous system, kidney, and liver damage. The FDA has received complaints of headaches, dizziness, and rashes being caused by the fragrances found in some disposable diapers.
The United States Consumer Protection Agency has also had a variety of problems reported to them that are directly related to disposable diaper use. Chemical burns as well as noxious odors have been reported as being emitted from certain diaper brands. Other complaints deal with the baby tearing plastic pieces off the diaper and placing them in their mouth or nose. Children have also choked by swallowing tab papers and linings. There have also been reports of the plastic melting on the baby’s skin and the baby’s skin being stained with ink.
The Journal of Pediatrics has reported that 54% of one-month-old infants using disposable diapers had rashes, with 16% of these being severe cases. In an independent study by a leading diaper manufacturer, diaper rash increased from 7.1% to 61% when the use of disposable diapers was increased.
The cost of cloth diapers as opposed to the disposable type is slightly smaller, though not as much as you would think. The maximum cost of disposable diapers is estimated at $80 per month, while the cost of cloth diapers is $60 per month.
The convenience of using disposable diapers used to be greater than when using cloth diapers. That is not the case today. Many cloth diapers come with Velcro tabs so the use of large safety pins has been eliminated. These diapers are also made with several layers of lining to keep your baby drier for a longer period of time.
The choice of which diaper to use is totally up to you. While your baby may do fine with disposable diapers, you have the comfort of knowing that cloth diapers are a healthier and less expensive alternative.

Be Heart Healthy with Home Remedies for High Cholesterol
If you want your heart to be healthy and stay healthy, you need to lower down your cholesterol and what better way to start than trying out home remedies for high cholesterol? A great majority of people find it hard to lower down their cholesterol simply because these happen to be the foods they like to eat. However, if you only knew the damaging effects of high cholesterol to your body, you will be encouraged enough to try and cut down on the fat.
High cholesterol can lead you to develop damaging, if not fatal conditions. If allowed to carry on the habit without addressing it, you carry the risk of developing a fatty liver, clogged arteries, high blood pressure, and worse Myocardial Infarction. Home remedies for high cholesterol can help you lower down your cholesterol count and even prevent it from escalating to dangerous levels.
Most home remedies for high cholesterol include incorporating heart-healthy foods to the diet. One is to eat garlic or take a capsule of it twice a day. Garlic can help lower down your LDLs or your bad cholesterol while increasing your HDLs or your good cholesterol. You can also try eating ginger since this can also lower down your cholesterol as well as thin out your blood giving you improved blood circulation. Vitamin C with bioflavonoids has also been known to substantially lower down your cholesterol as well as Lecithin.
The following remedies are very common for treating high cholesterol:
1. Eat raw garlic daily.
2. Eat 2-3 apples every day.
3. Walnuts can treat high cholesterol levels.
4. Consume tomatoes, you can either eat them fresh, in a salad, or drink tomato juice.
5. Eat soy products to lower cholesterol levels.
6. Sunflower seeds are very good remedy for cholesterol.
7. Eat food that contains fiber.
8. Make a cup of lemon grass tea, add 2 teaspoons of honey and drink slowly.
9. Make a cup of tea, add 3 cinnamon sticks and drink.
10. Eat or drink grapefruit daily.
Yet other simple remedies for high cholesterol that most people seem to overlook include a change in lifestyle. This means that if you were sedentary before, be active now. Try some exercises, starting out slowly and gradually increasing the pace. Avoid habits that can just be as damaging as high cholesterol such as too much smoking and consumption of alcohol.
Try being aware of the condition because the more you know the better you can prevent it from occurring. For instance, be aware of the difference of LDLs and HDLs. Both are considered cholesterols, however, each have different types of actions. While LDLs are considered your bad cholesterol because it plays a great role in increasing your cholesterol count, HDLs are considered your good cholesterols because it lowers down your cholesterol count. Being aware of this fact alone can help you to avoid LDL-rich foods and increase your intake of HDL-rich foods. Having a high cholesterol count requires that you have a lot of money, what with the maintenance that is required to keep you alive. These simple home remedies for high cholesterol are not only cheap; they prevent your cholesterol count from increasing in the first place, saving you a lot of money and saving your life.

Hair Loss - Soya For Treating Hair Loss
May 31, 2008
People have been searching for ways on how to combat hair loss for centuries. Almost everything has been tried and applied on the scalp or ingested by desperate people, in hopes of getting their hair to grow back. Some actually worked, while some did not. Some were proven to be temporary treatments, while others had permanent bad side effects. There is, however, a safer and less expensive alternative that shows great potential.
Soy Protein Helps Hair Loss
A study published in the journal Biology of Reproduction indicates that soy protein could help in hair loss problems and reduce male pattern baldness. Incorporating soy products, such as soy milk and tofu, into one’s diet may actually be able to aid in stopping hair loss.
When isoflavones, which are organic compounds found in high amounts in soybeans, are digested and broken down, a by-product called equol is produced in the intestine. The molecule equol seems to impede the function of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a form of testosterone that induces hair loss and prostate growth. What’s interesting here is that equol only serves to stop the function of DHT; it does not block the production of the said testosterone.
Similar to equol, most hair loss prescription medications also target DHT. However, they work in a different manner. What they do is that they completely stop the formation of DHT. Studies show that they are able to combat hair loss in around 80 percent of cases and are able to stimulate new hair growth in about 30 percent. These benefits, however, are lost when the treatment is completely stopped. Moreover, the DHT inhibition action of these hair loss prescription drugs could pose the risk of harmful side effects, such as impotence.
Not Everyone Benefits from Soy
But there is one problem: not every person suffering from hair loss problems will benefit from binging on soy. According to studies published in December 2003 in the Ob/Gyn Clinical Alert, only around 30 percent of human beings are able to create equol in their intestines.
Before you are discouraged, it is good to know that it wouldn’t hurt to try to increase your soy intake. Studies say that soy may help combat hair loss and that is enough reason to start drinking it, especially if your hair is starting to thin out. An interesting fact is that the Japanese eat ten times more soya than other nationalities, and if you will notice, there are not a lot of bald Japanese.
To be frank, there is a chance that soy may not be able to do anything about your receding hairline. However, soy products are cheaper than most, if not all, hair loss prescription drugs. Moreover, it has other proven health benefits such as lowering the risk of some forms of cancer and bone health problems, decreasing the levels of bad cholesterol, and regulating our glucose levels. So unless you are sure that you are among the unfortunate 30 percent who cannot produce equol, it wouldn’t hurt to increase the amount of soy in your diet in an attempt to alleviate your hair loss problems.

Hair Loss In Men
May 31, 2008
It is estimated that in the United States alone more than 60 million men suffer from hair loss in one way or another. For the lucky men their hair loss symptoms may be a slight thinning of the follicles or for the unlucky men their hair loss symptoms are more pronounced and debilitating, following the typical progression of male pattern baldness. There are many physical and chemical reasons for hair loss and for every actual cause of hair loss in men there is a hair loss myth.
Hair loss is hereditary from your mother.
One major hair loss myth that everyone knows is that hair loss is hereditary from your mother’s side of the family. It is true that the hair loss gene is hereditary but this gene can come from either of your parents. If your father’s brother is losing his hair while your mother’s brother appears to still have all his hair, you still have the possibility of having the hair loss gene.
Wearing hats
Many people believe that if you wear a hat it will cut off the oxygen to your hair follicles which will kill the follicles and cause your hair to fall out. In order to truly cut the flow of oxygen off to your scalp the hat would have to be so tight that it would cut the blood circulation to your scalp and possibly parts of your brain off. Remember this easy way to debunk the hat myth, breath through your nose - not your hair.
Standing on your head
This common myth is a cure for hair loss. The myth claims that if you stand on your head, you will increase the blood flow to your head and stimulate the follicles with extra nutrients which will increase hair growth. Standing on your head doesn’t increase the flood of blood to your scalp and chances are your blood flow is working as it should already. Hair follicles grow at a slow and steady rate. Sadly, there are not any miracle products or processes that will cause your hair to grow faster.
Hair products
Other popular myths involving hair loss are that the wrong shampoos and conditioners can thin out your hair. While harsh chemicals and shampoos can damage hair or make your hair brittle, it will not leave you bald. Just use common sense and be kind to your head and your hair.
What does cause hair loss?
Hair loss in men is not caused by a lack of oxygen, blood, or nutrients to your hair follicles. The truth is, there are many reasons why men lose their hair. The main culprit is overproduction of the DHT hormone. DHT attaches itself to the hair follicles and overtime thins the hair out to nothing. Other reasons could be medications that can cause temporary hair loss, stress can also be another factor in hair loss. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to assess the exact reason for hair loss. For those looking for an answer Provillus was formulated specifically for men to provide the right nutrients for your hair and bring the production of DHT back to balance.
If you’re looking for a natural solution to stop hair loss, Provillus Treatment for men works deep under the scalp to stop hair loss before it starts and regrow hair. Provillus contains a proprietary blend of natural herbs that strengthen your hair and begin the process of hair regrowth. Entrepreneurs With Irritable Bowel Syndrome! Top 5 Relieving Tips, And What You Must Know
May 31, 2008
That’s right… you’re not alone!
So many entrepreneurs suffer with I.B.S. The reason? In one word: STRESS.
***What’s Stress Doing To Your Bowels?***
Emotional stress causes you to release “cortisol”, a stress hormone. Cortisol signals your body that there’s a new problem, requiring immediate attention. Your body does what it must to solve this problem, taking energy away from your normal digestive processes.
The longer you’re under stress, the more your I.B.S. will be aggravated.
But there’s hope: new evidence shows what REALLY causes I.B.S., and it’s something your doctor has probably NOT investigated.
Later in this article, I’ll give you 5 relieving tips, and I’ll tell you how to learn the 5 mistakes you’re making every time you eat, so you can start relieving your I.B.S. today. But first, let me reveal the root cause of your symptoms.
***”HELP! What’s Going On?”***
Let’s start with constipation. The early stages of constipation begin when you do not chew your food thoroughly enough. When you don’t chew thoroughly, your saliva doesn’t interact with your food long enough to initiate carbohydrate digestion.
You see, digestion begins in the mouth, and saliva is the first step of the digestive process. When you swallow food before it’s adequately chewed, you place an extra burden on your stomach and pancreas. This sets the stage for constipation, excessive gas, burping, painful bloating, and a host of other digestive complications.
***There’s More, And Most Doctors DON’T Know***
There’s a second reason why inadequate chewing leads to constipation- and sadly, it’s a reason about which many doctors are ignorant. It has to do with hydrochloric acid production.
Once you swallow your food, your stomach receives “HCl”, or Hydrochloric Acid, from your blood. It takes approximately 1 hour for your stomach to receive enough HCl. HCl is extremely acidic, and vitally necessary in the digestive process.
When the appropriate pH level in the stomach is reached, your body can now accomplish two essential tasks:
1. Protein digestion
2. Mineral absorption
Now, here’s the problem: if your digestive process is compromised, the minerals from your food are inadequately absorbed for use in the body. One of these minerals is sodium.
Why is sodium so important? Sodium is a key player in the formation of bile, a substance that allows you to move your bowels smoothly. Perhaps you’ve heard the term, “bile salts”.
If you’re not absorbing sodium, your bile will be too thick, and you’ll become constipated. The thicker your bile, the worse your constipation!
So, if your stomach is already exhausted and your digestive organs are stressed because you’re swallowing your food in chunks, can you be at all surprised that the production of HCl in your stomach is also faulty?
An incredible amount of your stomach’s energy is wasted by cleaning up large portions of unchewed food strains. When this occurs, HCl production will be compromised, you will not properly absorb your food’s minerals, you will not absorb enough sodium, your bile will be too thick, and you’ll become constipated.
Phew!
Does this mean you should eat more salt? NO!
Consuming more salt in your diet is NOT the answer. The answer begins with chewing more thoroughly. Without the added burden of digesting big chunks of food, your digestive system will have a better success rate of absorbing the sodium it needs from the food you’re already eating.
Your bile will be the correct thickness, and your bowels will move more regularly.
***”What About My DIARRHEA?”***
The diarrhea aspect of I.B.S. is caused when you are not properly digesting the sugars, fats and proteins you’re consuming.
Why did I emphasize the word “digesting”?
Let me ask you a question: you’ve probably heard the phrase, “You are what you eat.” That’s a correct statement, right? Actually… it’s completely false!
The truth is, you are what you digest: you’re the nutrients you absorb from your food, and assimilate throughout your body for proper utilization.
You can eat all of the apples in the world, but if you cannot digest the apples’ nutrients, you will not receive much nutritional benefit at all.
Back to the cause of diarrhea, it’s NOT that you need to eat more sugars, fats or proteins. That would not solve the problem, because your digestive organs are not working properly. You’re not able to digest the sugars, fats and proteins you’re already eating.
So, what happens when you can’t digest your food? Undigested food molecules accumulate within your small and large intestines. These food particles irritate and inflame your digestive tract, setting the stage for “leaky gut syndrome”.
But guess what… your body is smart! It knows that these undigested food particles are causing real problems. Your body attempts to flush these food particles from your system- giving you diarrhea!
***5 Naturally-Relieving Tips, and 5 Mistakes To Avoid***
Yes, there is hope for relief.
The best answer for long-term relief is to have your digestive system properly analyzed for the above types of digestive issues, and to be placed on a natural remedy specific to your situation.
But for right now, make sure you’re doing these 5 things:
1.Consume three servings per day of raw, organic fruits and vegetables. They must be raw! Raw produce supplies your body with digestive enzymes necessary to help digest your food.
2.Eliminate wheat gluten from your diet for 2 weeks, and see if you notice any relief. Wheat gluten is a trigger food for many I.B.S. sufferers. One of the best, largest gluten-free product lines is Bob’s Red Mill, at bobsredmill.com.
3.Eliminate dairy from your diet. Lactose is a milk sugar, and is a trigger for many cases of I.B.S. See if you notice any difference after 2 weeks. Check food labels for “whey”, a hidden dairy ingredient.
4.To help relieve constipation, make sure you consume enough fiber in your diet. But don’t be fooled… some of the foods you think are high-fiber may actually be low-fiber, so be sure to read food labels.
5.Do your best to decrease emotional stress! Take 5 minute breaks every 90 minutes, and try to eat in a calm environment.
***Last But Certainly Not Least… STOP Making These 5 MISTAKES!***
Even the most health-conscious entrepreneurs are making mistakes every time they eat, that are making their I.B.S. worse. To summarize the information, I’ve written a FREE report, called “The 5 Mistakes You’re Making Every Time You Eat!”. This is critical information to help you get faster I.B.S. relief, so click here or on the link below to get your FREE copy of this report right now: http://www.thedigestiondoctor.com

Physical Therapy Information – Alexander Technique
May 31, 2008
An actor, F. M. Alexander (1869-1955) was responsible for the invention of the Alexander Technique, which is named after him. He toured Tasmania and Australia as part of a Shakespearean troupe. When he started having problems with his throat, he developed a method which has put his name down in history for posterity.
As Alexander’s throat started becoming hoarse, he began to visit all the doctors he could, wherever he was. It was all in vain for him. There was nothing physically wrong with him as far as they could see, and they could not treat him. Alexander was a stubborn man, and when doctors could not solve his problem, he took matters into his own hand. Thus was born the Alexander Technique.
Alexander worked alone, as no one would help him. He watched whatever he did, and observed his reflection in mirrors as much as he could to determine where he was going wrong. Continuing this practice for nine long years, he devised the Alexander Technique.
His diligence and hard work paid of for him. He recovered the use of his voice. In his eyes, it was as good as a miracle. As an actor, his voice was most important to him. When he formulated this technique, he called it the Primary Control method.
The Alexander Technique is built upon a simple hypothesis. According to Alexander, the upper body, i.e. the head, the neck and the torso are the major determining factors for function, posture, and movement. Anatomically, they control these features.
He realized through observations that the technique of Primary Control could be useful in solving a number of problems. If these body parts were compressed, it could not function to the best of its ability. In his case, because of his poor posture, his voice had become hoarse.
According to Alexander, the correct anatomical positioning of the head, neck, and the torso allows the body to function normally. Alexander Technique is now employed in physiotherapy clinic across the country. Both young and old are administered this technique. Anyone who wants to learn it is welcome to join.
Physiotherapists dealing with the Alexander Technique prefer teaching individuals rather than groups, though groups may also be taught. The routine however is to teach individuals rather than groups. The therapist, or practitioner, teaches the person physiotherapy techniques to help them function in better ways and use their body to the best of its ability.
Alexander Technique allows the body and i’s muscles to relax through the practice of physiotherapy. This enables a person to return their body to it’s original, anatomically correct posture. Since the technique works upon the entire body and affect the whole form, it positively affects the entire body structure.
Physiotherapy has several areas. Alexander Technique is a specialized form of therapy. Though it only deals with correct posturing of the body, several other problems are also addressed along with it. For those with severe disabilities or medical conditions, this technique is not employed. as there are other forms of therapy which may prove more useful. For minor problems, however, Alexander Technique is like a miracle cure.

What Foods To Eat And Not To Eat For Diabetes?
May 31, 2008
If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, there are ways to improve and control the symptoms of your disease. It is very important to find out what to eat and not to eat for diabetes. Scientists report the global rates of Type 2 diabetes are likely to double in the next twenty years. These statistics do not have to happen if we can begin to practice what foods to enjoy and avoid. A diet high in fiber, but low in fat is most often recommended for diabetics. You especially want to stay away from saturated fat and limit the amount of sugar you eat. Saturated fat is animal fat such as butter, and lard. Dairy products high in saturated fat include cream, cheese, meat, and chocolate.
What to eat and not to eat for diabetes:
Bread is a major source of carbohydrates in our diets. Carbohydrate is an valuable source of energy, vitamins, and minerals. It also provides fiber that helps maintain blood sugar levels. Beans, peas, oats, and barley contain this fiber. Whole grain products are the wisest choice because it takes longer for your digestive system to break down. This keeps the body from releasing sudden bursts of sugar. Potatoes, corn, and pasta are also carbohydrates.
Vegetables should be included on your list of what to eat and not to eat for diabetes. Tasty samples to include are spinach, carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage and cucumbers. You should have three to five servings a day, mixing it up, serving both raw and cooked vegetables.
Fruits contain carbohydrates along with natural sugars, so you must be careful indulging in too much. It is a good idea to mix fruit with a protein or before exercise. Make certain the canned fruits you buy are packed in unsweetened fruit juice. Diabetics require two to four servings of fruit everyday.
Milk and other dairy products should be limited due to being high in carbs. Switching to low-fat milk, and unsweetened yogurt will help keep your diabetes in check, and an added bonus of saving calories. Two to three serving of dairy products are your daily requirement.
Protein can be meat or meat substitutes such as peanut butter, tofu, cheese, and eggs. You only require about six ounces of protein a day, broken up over two to three meals. One tablespoon of peanut butter or an egg weighs an ounce. Fish, poultry, beans, and nuts, are sources of protein.
Fats and Sweets are necessary for our bodies but only in moderation. Avocados make a delicious topping in the place of mayonnaise. Making your own dressing avoids the trans-fat in processed foods. Sweets are allowed for many diabetics if the portion size is strictly under control. Sugar free desserts are an option, but remember to take the extra carbs into consideration.
Take control of your diabetes and look into what a balanced diet plan can do for you. An important step is finding out what to eat and what not to eat for diabetes. With the popular food choices of today, our bodies are receiving only twenty percent of the necessary nutrients it craves. This fact is considered by experts to be what is behind the overweight crisis seen in many countries. Taking away from our mid-section could also lessen the appearance in development of adult on set diabetes.
